Great product! But like any woodwork, it requires skill. I filled in where the puppy had chewed the railing all the way up. To fix this, I added more than needed so it bubbled a bit. I then took a hard plastic bristle brush and sanded it down, being careful to apply pressure to the deepest part of the patch and not the original wood around it. I brushed in the direction of the grain. Once I got a nice looking wood grain I sanded the entire area with a fine sanding block to make it smooth except for the wood grain veins which I brushed out. I actually cleaned up a bit more after sanding to improve the look. Then I took the original stain and brushed it up like wood. Looks flawless. The only areas where you can see the edge of the patch are where I had to sand a bit. It wasn't polished enough. Without my error it would be impossible to know that this is a patch. I can come in and fix it. I was just tired the day I worked on it.
