I love that I can just put the batteries in and use the thermometer! I also find it very handy that you can choose whether or not to taste your seafood (I don't eat meat) for a roast! Nice gesture. You can set off an alarm when the food reaches the desired temperature. Coming from Eastern Europe, it's always been easier for me to understand Celsius, so toggling between F and C is a nice feature. Can also see the display at night with blue light function! It even transmits readings wirelessly, so you can grill and do other things without worrying about your food overcooking. You can roast poultry, red meat and seafood and never worry about cross contamination as multiple sensors are available. Very well worth the money!
