I don't know what it is for. I got it because I had some installation issues in the little barbarian's bathroom and thought this might fix it. But the thing isn't very long, and while it's shaped to fit the toilet pipe exactly, it's not very long and can't reach anything to get caught in the upper U-tube. They don't advertise that it's a plumber's tool, so it's ok if it's not what you expect, but the bristles are so soft and flimsy they fall off almost immediately. They said it took the barbarians less than 10 minutes with this thing to clean all the bristles from it (photo). So if you want to use it to gently clean the other floor of the toilet, this will work. Otherwise it's kind of useless.
