That's really two reviews as I've had very different experiences with the 4PDT and DPDT versions. I like the LED that shows the relay is active (it's NOT bi-directional: pin 14 should be positive in the DC version as shown in the schematic on the dust cap), and the included socket and DIN rail are a nice touch gesture (they even included screws). for guided tours!). I've used them (so far) to prototype a new automatic/manual generator controller for my PV system and so far they've worked flawlessly. Heat gently for a long (hours) activation time. The DC versions do NOT have built in reverse biased clamp diodes. No complaints, 4 stars. (I'll upgrade to 5 if they hold.) 4PDT 120VAC: I had to return my order because 50% of the normally closed contacts showed an open circuit 50% of the time (both relays)! I'm still giving the average 3 stars because the relays are a great (and classic) design (I have 2-pin 12VDC and 120VAC relays from the supplier that are fine and work fine). Love the LED that shows the relay is active, and the socket and included DIN rail are a nice touch. However, with a 4-pole relay, all 4 normally closed (NC) contacts must reliably provide closed circuits when the relay is deactivated, which falls far short of this requirement. Excellent price; terrible performance; 1 star for 4 poles. UPDATE: Revain refunded with no refund required. Since 4PDT is junk anyway, I figured I had nothing to lose by trying to track down a continuity issue. Increasing the spring tension by removing the loop from the anchor spring: no improvement! Finally he removed the armature and examined the contacts and what is clearly visible is the misalignment of 4 armature contacts (see photo). Visual inspection during manual operation of the armature confirms that some contacts close much earlier than others such that the most misaligned contacts, even with increased spring tension, do not provide sufficient contact to pass the closed circuit test on the NC side. The DPDT types are significantly more reliable and probably less vulnerable, perhaps because they only have 2 contact anchors (half tension and mechanically 3-point, they can wobble a bit for a proper fit). These 4-pin 120VAC units have "AIPUG" on the dust cap and model number HH54P-L. Conclusion: 2-pin looks good; Manufacturer needs more accurate alignment of armature contacts for 4 pole relays and better quality control of circuit closure reliability. Check them carefully before commissioning!
