Haven't cooked with this yet, so I'll update this later if I need to. Installation was pretty easy if you can think fast and not just rip stuff off the adhesive and wonder what happened (when you look at how you left 1 star reviews). There are some good tips for removing adhesive from the backing here, but what I did was a little different. I measured my space to determine the length required. Then, with the black side up (the back side on the table), I cut through the black material and lightly trim (don't cut all the way through) the paper backing. You can now fold the backing paper where you made the cut and peel off the material and adhesive as if you were opening a band-aid. After some messaging, it seemed to stick nicely to the rims of my freshly degreased smoking cap. The thickness of the material may have caused a small gap in the bottom of the door and I won't find out until the next time I cook. If so, I simply add another strip to the smoker body to double the material along the bottom edge. This is of course not FireBlack's fault and is solely due to the tolerances of my smoker lid.
