Kitten weighs 5 pounds and the average size seems to suit her. Somehow she got her hand into the hole in her back, but she couldn't free herself. The fabric is stretchy enough to make walking a little more uncomfortable than other fabrics we've tried. The ability to adjust the neck is a big plus for me. She won't go straight to the seams without a suit, but I wouldn't trust her unsupervised. However, she did not attempt to injure the wound. The litter box wasn't a problem for her. Edit: It's not very durable. She began to crunch the Velcro and pierce the fabric next to it. I attached a strip of fabric along the back to prevent damage. Better a costume than her wound, but she might not last long against a determined kitten.
