I had problems with the rating of this product. Some moments in the light were very good. some are pretty bad. The quality of the effect is very good. The wavelength of the light is not as low as 465nm, hence it emits a violet glow. However, the effects I painted with fluorescent paint glowed very brightly. I placed two of these lights in a 50' x 20' yard. It lit the yard very well. I've managed to replace a ton of small lightbulbs that I've accumulated over the years. The quality of the packaging was terrible. and indoor light is not very strong. I had to order and return 3 shipments of this item to receive 2 work lights. The headlights are packed in a cardboard box without a seal. All product boxes were damaged (inside Revain's outer packaging). With damaged headlights, the control and power mechanisms inside the headlight exploded, severely damaging the thin (weak) metal reflector. I have attached photos to better illustrate this issue. Interestingly, this year I also bought a 465nm lamp for $160 from a lighting store that was only 20W. The lamps in this review compare well to the very expensive lamps I have purchased. The Lysed lights were a more eye-catching purple color (as you'd expect). but illuminated the decor MUCH more than expensive lights (60W vs. 20W). So Lysed has really paid for itself, so to speak. Although I only gave 3 stars I kept the lights.
