Review on WIMBERLEY WH 200 S Wimberley Sidemount by Carrie Robinson

I was having a very hard time photographing wildlife with my heavy 200-500mm lens mounted on a ball head. If you solve it to follow something, it will be everywhere. very difficult to control. Tightening it a bit to minimize movement still doesn't help. I was always worried it was tight enough when I wanted to go away for a minute because if it wasn't tight enough the camera lens would wobble forward and potentially damage the lens or camera. I enjoy trying to photograph pink terns (and other birds) in the harbor where I live. These birds fly fast, spin fast, and when they see a fish, they turn into Kamikaji. You dive straight into the water. I always had trouble getting them at the right moment and if I caught them the photo would have been jagged. The Wimberly gimbal is very strong, takes all the weight off the camera and allows smooth panning up and down. down and sideways, keeping the camera level. I love how smooth it is, and if you pinch it down a bit the camera and lens stay where they're facing from a vertical perspective, but you can always move them the other way. It's a bit pricey but worth every penny in my book.
