Wow! What a PSU tank! I've been sucking 10-12A out of this thing almost continuously for two months and it runs quiet and cool. The fan only spins intermittently to cool the device and it can get a bit noisy in absolutely quiet environments, but it's barely noticeable under normal conditions with normal ambient noise. Mine is used to power two 33ft long 24V LED strips connected directly to a 24ch 3ch RGB power amplifier/repeater and both strings stay perfectly in sync and very consistent in their light output. I almost bought a cheaper unit, but after reading the reviews I settled on this one. I'm glad I did. I can't tell you how it compares to the "cheap ones" but this power supply just feels like something I won't have to mess with for a very long time. symptom of a problem. Now buy a second one for the second installation
