I needed lighting for webinars, simple course videos and more. I'm used to broadcasting high quality lighting, but this is for my home studio. I don't have a big budget right now so I started looking for something simple. I read other reviews about this product. Some were dissatisfied with the light stands. I am very happy with this system. I bought 2 headlights but I will buy a 3rd. There is enough space in the carrying bag for 3 lights. I like the tote bag. Love the fact that you can dim or brighten the light and also change the temperature of the light. Just one light source makes a big difference when using a computer camera for a webinar. I was really surprised that the lamps didn't come with batteries. There are slots for 2 lithium batteries on the back of the flashlights. Therefore, if you want to use the flashlight outdoors, you need to buy 2 lithium batteries for each flashlight. I would also like barn doors but for the price this is a great piece. About light stands. They are plastic, not metal. Glad they're light. For my use they are pretty versatile. One review said they were unstable. I do not agree. There are many positions and you can always add weight or a punching bag if you're worried about someone knocking them over. They are easy to assemble. The board is fine. Now I am very satisfied with my basic needs. I highly recommend.
