This mount slips off the handlebars because the buckles cannot exert enough force. Also, on tapered bars, it simply slides sideways and releases, moving to the narrower part of the bar. My GPS always does a "dead parrot" stance and hangs upside down after the slightest bump. I added additional rubber traction using parts from the old camera. It helped a lot, but it's not quite stable yet. In addition, it is very difficult to turn the GPS on and off. The mount is too tight and it takes a lot of force, even a hard punch, to get the GPS out. If the mount was ever tight, the tug required to remove the GPS at the end of a ride will loosen it again. I have had this mount on several bikes with the same issues despite my attempts to fix it. The old brackets with a rubber seal and a screw for fastening are much better. I can't find them anymore for these new style GPS's.
