Very Reliable - GPS Accessory

When mountain biking in the Rocky Mountains I come across a lot of rocks, roots and fallen logs. This mount is very secure. It takes some pressure to unlock and remove, but it's worth it. I pair this with a Garmin Edge Tether Tether https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00B7DTWK8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. Very happy with the product.

Cannot be installed tight enough to stay in place.

Terrible design. It cannot be worn tight enough to stay in place. A few kilometers of vibration and my 66i under the wheel. I used pliers to tighten it one notch at a time. He was one mark short before the tie broke. Like the previous generation Garmin, it should have a screw clamp. It holds GPS well. I gave up and used my 3D printer to make a better handlebar mount and just used the GPS mount part.

  • Not bad, but...

Clean handlebar mount.

This is by far the cheapest, cleanest and best handlebar mount for my Garmin inReach. I installed it on my 300cc two-stroke off-road bike. See and drive regularly on very fast rocky bumpy desert roads. This thing didn't move. Even with all the vibrations of a 2-stroke engine. Tip: When installing, grab your pliers and twist the zip ties properly to secure them to the handlebars. This will ensure that there is no movement. Overall it's great and I will be buying more to have my inReach installed

Works well enough for InReach Explorer+

This bike mount fits well enough for the Garmin InReach Explorer+ satellite communicator on my bike handlebars, but could be better designed. The zip ties that came with the kit slipped over the metal handlebars so I had to wrap a piece of rubber to prevent this. The device snaps and snaps into place, but isn't entirely easy to remove. The mount is reasonably priced and does the job, so I can't complain much. A hose clamp with a wrench would be the best way to secure it to the handlebars, butโ€ฆ

The perfect complement to the Garmin Colorado

I mainly use my Garmin Colorado 400t for geocaching. I mainly use my bike to stay in shape. With this bike rack kit I can now do both at the same time! Also, the GPS on the steering wheel comes in really handy when I'm driving through unfamiliar territory and making a bit of a turn (okay, lost). The kit comes with four plastic zip ties, but you only need two and the rest are spares. It wasn't as tight as I would have liked as I just used my fingers to tighten the straps so I used pliers to grab

Best keeps me on track with GPS, finders and accessories

My Oregon 600 only jumps up when I eat a lot of it. Everything else is solid. It can be rotated if enough pressure is applied, but having it rotate or pop out on a hard impact is probably better than damaging the device. I have no problem keeping it in place while driving. My wheels are a little off the ground and I'm riding gnar. I see some people complaining that they can't mount it securely to the handlebars and that it rotates on bumps and the like. If you can install it on the pole youโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

This mount slips off the handlebars because the buckles cannot exert enough force. Also, on tapered bars, it simply slides sideways and releases, moving to the narrower part of the bar. My GPS always does a "dead parrot" stance and hangs upside down after the slightest bump. I added additional rubber traction using parts from the old camera. It helped a lot, but it's not quite stable yet. In addition, it is very difficult to turn the GPS on and off. The mount is too tight and it takes a lot ofโ€ฆ

Good if you want to lose GPS

Don't do it! Horizontal and vertical mounting options. Fits the device as expected. Now each review has its own unique experience. This is mine. Put the thing on and was very excited to get some data on my trip. Within two miles of my suburban/city ride to a MAX (light rail) station, it rumbled or got hit at the station while I was riding in front of my bike. I can't be sure of either. HOWEVER, this thing doesn't have a good lock to secure it after you put it in the mount. Basically the $9โ€ฆ

Perfect fit and functionality.

The boys' video says it all. I had no problems installing or using mine. Firm seat on the steering wheel. Holds up well (hasn't been used off-road yet) and really doesn't have too many glare issues, tilted mine down a bit. It's a great thing to have done with you. Used mainly on cycle paths that are not yet burdened with rough trails. It fastens with a latch and holds up well as it's hard to remove now which is good. I'm sure this will ease up over time.
