Review on Teng Tools Precision Cutting Handles by Marcus Rash

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great tailors! - Side cutters

I love teng pliers! Got their curved needle nose and after seeing how it works I decided to get their cutter. Teng does an excellent job of hardening their blades. So if they say something is designed for 1.5mm or 2.5mm piano strings, it may actually work with piano strings. I tested their needle point and this cutter with 1.5mm piano wire. It's a very stiff type of wire that has dented all my other wire cutters, including some small pliers, but hardly left any marks on the heating elements. Just tonight I cut out some CV joint clamps out of steel, probably around 0.5mm thick and 5mm wide. There are no problems with these cutters. I was going to buy diagonal cutters from Klein but after seeing how their other pliers handle piano strings and reading other reviews I figured the teng would last longer and not be boring. My only issue with teng is that they could tighten their loops a bit, but they're not bad. Highly recommended. I wish they had a distributor in the US so shipping would be faster and overall cost lower.
