The old weather seal was worn out and had to be replaced to keep out the cold air. After removing the old strip and thoroughly cleaning the area, I glued on the new strip, removing the paper covering the adhesive in the process. It comes in a double wide strip that easily splits into two thinner strips, which is what I did. It stuck firmly within a few weeks of application and works very well. Closing the door within a week took a little more effort as it was thicker than the old molding (I don't know if this happened when the old molding was new).
