Used them for my desktop. I have a premium standalone frame and an IKEA TOMMARID worktop. I didn't want to screw directly onto the chipboard table top as it wouldn't take long if I moved the table. I ended up buying these. I just finished a project and it worked great. You no longer have to worry about detaching the table top from the frame several times. HD sells similar screws for a dollar each, which is crazy. The hex wrench worked very well to get the screws into the wood. Can't comment on rust, but I'm not too concerned about that as it's for indoor use.
