Review on Brabantia Ironing Board Solid Steam by John Beltran

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Wonderful! Just like the Brabantia ironing board I had 20 years ago!

I had a wide Brabentia ironing board 20 years ago, loved using it (strange as it may sound) and then lost it during a divorce. and I've been longing for it ever since. It's way better than any other ironing board. My new ironing board arrived today and it's just as strong and good quality as the one I had before which is a nice touch as many companies seem to be lowering their build quality these days. My ironing board was MADE IN LETTIA (not made in China like almost all cheap models you find in discount/big stores). And it's incredibly durable. It doesn't wobble or move when in use. The shelf under the board is removable but I leave it attached as it is very practical to fold things to be ironed/ironed, to store a basket with hangers, to store tailor's ham or wool ironing mats. , or if you have an iron steam generator, if the generator weighs less than 5 pounds or so. The stand is pretty solid and the iron stand is also solid and stable, with an adjustable arm to secure the iron. The ironing surface is wider and slightly shorter than standard boards, making ironing linens easier and faster. and fabrics for quilting and sewing. But it's not too wide for ironing and a small loss of length of the ironing board doesn't really bother. It's the perfect ratio I think. If you've only ever had a narrow "standard" ironing board before it may take a while to get used to it, but after using one of these a few times I doubt you'll ever want to go back to one narrow! There really is no reason to want this. I also like that the board is height adjustable than my old one, which is easy on my arthritic neck and back, but it can also be adjusted lower to use from a seated position (I'm disabled so it was important for me to have one to have probability). And it doesn't creak at all (some are like nails on a chalkboard!) when you open and close it. It's much more stable than a narrower board with the same legs and 1000 times more stable than all those T-legged boards! I plan to keep my kit most of the time but will mount a wall mount if I need to put it away. The ironing board comes with a 10 year guarantee and registration instructions (so keep the printed card and large product information insert as your registration barcode is there). I don't work for this company or Revain (or any other company as I'm disabled and can't work lol) and I'm not being paid or otherwise rewarded for this review. I am writing this because I find feedback helpful in my decision making and want to help others as well. I tend to think a lot about things, and I'm a bit of a perfectionist, so I tend to look for what's "wrong" about things, and if something about it wasn't perfect, I'd bring it up (I'm like that a whiny giggle). If this review was helpful, please let me know by clicking the button below. I'll update my review if anything changes, but I doubt I'll ever have to. This ironing board works, looks and feels just like the one I've used for many years and has never given me any problems.
