I liked this vest and it fits as expected, but the Connelly U-Hinge neoprene vest won because it has more flex area and feels less bulky in the upper area and I liked the Connelly decorative pattern better. But this O'Neil vest was my second choice and it wasn't an easy decision. The O'Neil vest has some details that show its quality, such as a small velcro flap that hides the zipper. And the shoulder straps are long enough to be stowed on the sides without a holder. This O'Neil vest is slightly bulkier in the front thanks to larger foam panels compared to the smaller foam panels of the Connelly vest. While the O'Neil vest does flex, for me it doesn't flex as much as the Connelly, and I felt the Connelly suited me better due to the more flexibility it has with the split panels. I got the O'Neil 8 size based on the size chart and it fits well. My height is 5ft 6in, 145#, bust 38in. If I hadn't tried Connelly too, I would have left O'Neil.
