I've previously praised the Commuter series for its two-piece construction and impressive durability. With the introduction of the iPhone X, the commuter was phased out as Symmetry fills its niche quite well. Not as big and bulky as the Protector, but still protective enough, this case looks good and can take a beating (although the newer iPhones, especially the Xs, are pretty tough on their own), protect from waist-high drops, or worse easily . .I've never been a fan of screen protectors, but now that screens are strong enough to be scratched rather than broken, I would recommend these as well. I dropped it while riding an e-scooter and got a barely noticeable scratch from the large screen. So I guess I'll take one. Otherwise, they've essentially taken the soft elements of the Commuter and incorporated them into a hard shell with easy-to-use buttons, which was a problem with older Symmetry cases. Unlike the Commuter, the Symmetry features an open charge port and mute switch, which makes it easier to use but means less protection from dirt and grit for those who spend a lot of time outdoors. to lose. It's a little slippery but I didn't drop it because of that and the side tires are very grippy. Defender make a phone call about weight loss 10 years ago, which isn't worth it, especially since the Defender no longer has a front protector either. With the addition of "water resistance" to the Xs and other changes, Defender is now useless unless you carry your phone around a lot. In my opinion, this is the perfect size/look/price combo for most.
