I've had a 24" LG 1920x1080 monitor as my primary external editing monitor on my 16" MacBook Pro (latest model) for years. Recently, Final Cut Pro's menus have lost detail, so the choice fell on the 4K version. Same size, same shape, everything except inputs and power supply. The cable connects directly to the back without a brick adapter and features HDMI and DisplayPort, no VGA or DVI like the 2K version. my MacBook connected to the monitor, VOILA! - instant, crystal clear picture, sharp, colors almost identical to my laptop - flawless. The box is either HDMI or DisplayPort - but obviously the MacBook Pro doesn't have either of those outputs, so like me you'll need to use a cable or get a dongle. CONCLUSION: VERY SATISFIED WITH MY PURCHASE! Only time will tell how reliable it is, just like my original LG.
