My 9 year old daughter loves it! I was going to get her a mermaid tail blanket for Christmas but my wife said no, she likes super soft blankets and all the mermaid tail blankets were crochet or something. I ended up buying her a soft blanket, which she really liked. She is lying on the couch and watching TV wrapped in it. As her birthday got closer, I looked again at the mermaid tail blankets (she loves mermaids too) and stumbled upon it. It was advertised as very mild and the reviews backed that up, so I gave it a try. She has been watching TV in it since the day she was born. The duvet is really soft. Her birthday was only a week ago so I can't say how it will hold up but it looks well done. It's time to wash it and I will update the review if there is any problem with the washing. But so far it has been a great success!
