Review on ZVOX SoundBase 570 30" Sound Bar With Bluetooth, Built-In Subwoofer, And AccuVoice For Enhanced Audio Experience by Vladimir Castillo

I'm old and hard of hearing and when my 5.1 Sony theatre system died I went looking for something that could still deliver improved dialogue but without all the wires, fuss and muss. Based on reviews, the ZVOX 570 seemed to be what I was looking for, so I bought one 4 mos. ago. It was a fast, safe delivery and easy installing, even for me.It's a nicely built, solid unit with fairly full, and helpfully adjustable, sounds. The AccuVoice is an instant dialogue boost that works amazingly well for me. It too can be adjusted to taste. The bass delivery is impressive and it can put out more than I need. Unit handles my music very nicely.I'm no pro, but I'm impressed with the clarity of sound that can come out of that box. It can't compete with the surround fullness of a 5.1 system, but it's range is plenty and it's uncanny clarity makes my TV watching/listening much more relaxing.CONS: (minus 1 star for their product engineering negligence)I wish they would have put a tiny "ON" light somewhere. I bet you too will wonder why they didn't if you buy one. And, better yet, that one little light could slowly *blink* when in the MUTE mode.The MUTE button is the most used button in the world. I wish they would have placed theirs in a less congregated, more user-friendly spot on the remote. They had all the room in the world to do it.On certain HD channels the sound tends to cut-out for a second every now and then. A couple of reviewers mentioned this. Not sure why this is. Irritating, but not too often so can live with it. I might call ZVOX about this.
