These gloves are very good. I will be using them for winter hiking so I will be in temperatures around 15F and higher. I believe if you are active (moving) wearing these gloves will keep your hands nice and warm. They are GORE-TEX, so really waterproof and windproof. However, if it's very windy and cold, say around 15°F or below, you can freeze through the insulation after a while. If you need more warmth in temperatures below 15°F, you can buy another pair of gloves. Overall I would recommend these gloves for active use in temperatures just below freezing and above. Also, I followed the size chart. The gloves fit perfectly, are a little difficult to put on, but once on they feel good.
