This is an excellent starter kit for the Raspberry Pi 3. I've never played with it, but as a longtime Linux/UNIX guru I was dying to find an excuse to do it. Eventually I broke down and found one to craft. This kit has literally everything you need to get started except for a keyboard and monitor. Even things you might not even need. My first experience with this thing was completely mind boggling. I simply assembled the components, loaded the SD card with the latest version of Raspbian, plugged in the ethernet cable and booted it up. After about 10 seconds I got the IP assigned by my DHCP server and was able to access it via SSH. Everything is easy! Let me warn you about this set. If you're buying one and this is your first Raspberry Pi, be prepared to buy more than one. These things are addicting! At the end of the first day of mastering I went back to Revain and ordered three more kits. Three months later and I'm about 12 now. You can find so many uses for these things! From random home servers to smart mirrors and console emulators. The list goes on and on. I bought several other kit models to compare with CanaKit. I have not yet found one that is as complete and offers a quality product as CanaKit. IMHO, this is the best you can buy right now.
