This August, I stepped barefoot onto our brand new front porch. Which is very typical for me. Suddenly I felt a sharp pain in the ball of my foot. I don't know what it was then (a piece of broken glass) but it was terribly painful and hard to see. We've tried getting it probably 2 times a week to no avail. I went to my doctor and both times he was called for emergency help. It's October and it's stale and it was awful. I end up going on my side to avoid putting pressure on the splitter. I trip and badly injure my ankle on that leg. That was the worst stretch I've ever had. In the end I ordered these splinter removers out of desperation. I used Prid ointment and hot Epsom salt baths to bring it to the surface. I can't tell you how wonderful it was to finally get that splinter out after 3 months. no more pain They work like magic! There will always be a packet in my first aid kit.
