They fit what I needed and I don't think you can beat the price but as others have said they are NOT 1/4" x one". Believe who you will, but I'm another person telling everyone they're mislabeled - they're 1-1/8" long and closer to 3/16" than 1/4". If you want 1/4" dowels for a snug fit, or can't use more than 1" absolute max length, don't buy them. If you don't care that they're a bit wavy and there's room for a deeper hole, this is a pretty good deal.
