Not the best quality, but generally not bad.

There is a built-in Wi-Fi adapter in the Asus motherboard on the Z77 Deluxe, it has much more modest technical characteristics than this one, but it works stably at 5 GHz, but at 2.4 GHz it freezes, like this 5 GHz adapter (this if with standard router settings). Also on my motherboard there is a built-in bluetooth version 4.0, but it does not work normally (periodically stutters and slows down) with the recently purchased harman play + go mini portable speaker, probably due to a mismatch of the bluetooth version (version 4.1 on the speaker), but with there are no problems with this adapter, everything works as it should (although sometimes the sound is interrupted for a split second, but for me it is not critical). There is a slight delay in bluetooth, this is noticeable when watching movies, but this is a lack of bluetooth technology, and not this adapter. In order for the bluetooth to work, the adapter must be connected with the supplied cable to the USB input on the mat. board (I had to eventually disconnect the USB hub to free up the bluetooth connector). I partially solved the problem of network quality stability in the 5 GHz range by adjusting some parameters in the firmware of the router, for this I changed only 2 parameters: I changed the channel and its width, after that the network worked more or less stably, but the maximum speed in the "network status" parameter "It fell a lot at the same time, but this is quite enough to watch videos on YouTube in any quality without brakes, but sometimes freezes still occur in this range.

Pros
  • Works stably in the 2.4 GHz band. I watch 4K videos on YouTube with a good bitrate - there are no blunts, freezes and other things, everything is fine. Bluetooth is working fine.
Cons
  • With standard router settings (Netis WF 2780), very unstable operation in the 5 GHz band. It seems that the speed and norms are shown in the "network status" parameter, but nevertheless, when playing high-quality 4K video, the freezes are constant. In the network settings, in the "network status" parameter, the speed sometimes dropped to 6 Mbps, but even when there was no drop and showed quite good speed, there were still freezes when playing high-quality video in 4K, unlike the 2.4 GHz range. I managed to partially solve the problem with a frequency of 5 GHz, more details in the comments. Bluetooth requires a wired connection to work. payment.
