I used to carry a Leatherman multi-tool and a set of bits with me. The problem I ran into was that a multi-tool is always a performance trade-off. So I looked for a better solution. The multi tool carries well in a pocket, but I was looking for something that could be carried in a pocket so I could add a bit of size and weight. I decided on the following: a Wera KK 10 compact bit and a screwdriver. - Knipex 87 01 125 SBA Cobra pliers - ESEE Izula knife in my pocket and a good folding knife in my pocket. The Wera set and Knipex pliers fit into the mobile phone case. The pliers work great - small enough to fit in your pocket. but tough enough to get the real work done. I really feel this is an improvement over the typical multi-purpose pliers.
