The batteries showed that they initially needed a full charge. On first use, my drill seemed to have no torque when I inserted the bit. In fact, I stopped the drill with my hand. I drilled seven 1/4" holes and put the battery on a Dewalt charger. My charger gave me a 'Powerline problem' error message. I put another unused and charged battery pack in the charger, same message. I have read the reviews and saw another customer had the same problem.He ran his batteries off the drill for 30 seconds and then they charged without error.I tried running my drill on both batteries for about 30 seconds each , and they took what my charger showed as a full charge with no error message.After trying both of these batteries in my drill I can stop them by hand when fully charged.I have my only remaining Dewalt 18v XRP tried which is 10 years old and i can't stop the drill with my hand they are definitely worse and more unreliable if you are determined to use these batteries, buy lots of them. If you want to keep using your Dewalt tools, you are welcome to buy Dewalt batteries.
