Review on πŸ“± Protect Your Garmin Approach, Oregon, and Dakota GPS with this Durable Hard Carrying Case by William Mathis

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good case/protection

Cons: Slightly bulky, leaks, but since the GPS is waterproof this isn't necessary. For the size I would like to see a pocket/slot for extra batteries. It's a little fiddly to take the GPS off to change batteries or just use it without a case. Pros: The GPS is held very securely in the case and will not accidentally fall out when opened. See the comment above to get it. If you're wearing a vest, harness or something that the included carabiner can attach to, it's very comfortable, especially at mid and upper chest height, some may find it usable at waist height. The GPS is fixed inside and when you unzip it it just pops open and the horizontal GPS gives you a good view. In this position it will sway from side to side, but with practice the GPS can be used in hands-free walking. Easy to close and fasten. It protects the GPS from bumps and scratches. This frees up the pocket and gives you easier access to your GPS, but you'll need to release the carabiner to give it to someone else or set it up for stationary reading. lane shift. Not suitable for geocaching in populated areas as it sticks out like a thumb and draws attention. (One person I met along the way thought it was a heart monitor or something. LOL) Not suitable for cycling. It is best used off-road and away from civilization.

Pros
  • Regular price
Cons
  • Crumpled
