It protects your Garmin hand.

The product should provide excellent protection when moving and wearing Garmin. Not enough time to comment on durability. But it seems to be a very good product. I'm happy with that

Perfect for my 650T clothes

Perfect for my 650T clothes. Love the hard case. We have been using this case for over a year. No problems so far and has withstood heavy use. Took many cache treks and long hikes on the Appalachian Trail. Dropped multiple times without damage. Would recommend to friends.

It doesn't work for me.

I don't like it at all and don't use it in the field anymore. So bulky and not comfortable at all. Personally, as a woman, I don't wear a hip belt and prefer to wear cameras or binoculars on the neck strap. For geocaching I made a homemade collar and attached it to the GPS clip. It freed my hands and at the same time the GPS is always available. However, store my Oregon in it when not in use.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No instructions

It works great and also tracks my GPS.

If you're looking for a fully sealed case, this isn't it. It works great and tracks my GPS and also protects it from scratches when I'm not using it. It can be used with GPS as intended, but I use a clip and carabiner instead for easy access. There is nothing wrong with the product, only personal preferences are easily accessible to me.

  • Good workmanship

At first glance, it looks great and works too.

This case failed the rigorous test. I'm a wilderness firefighter with a heavy rifle crew and this was attached to my backpack for quick access while working on the line of fire and I had problems with it soon after purchasing it. The case doesn't really seal, which is why my Oregon GPS was covered in ash whenever I accessed it. At first I accepted it as something I just had to put up with, but the case soon failed and remained closed until I dropped it entirely. I'm just really surprised thatโ€ฆ

Too big and bulky Best in GPS accessories

This Garmin Oregon GPS carrying case is too big and bulky to use. Looks like it was designed for the Colorado model and they only applied it to the Oregon model. Of course it works, but it's too high. Maybe an inch shorter. The Oregon is secured internally with a tie-down strap and Velcro that places it at the extreme bottom with an inch of dead space at the top. Also, it's too thick (2.25 inches) as it needs to be big enough to fit a large clip and Velcro inside. And a strap on the outsideโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Great protection but bulky

I bought this case after my Garmin Golf GPS navigator screen cracked because the previous case I was using didn't protect it well enough. I used a semi-rigid camera case that fits my Garmin well. After the screen cracked I decided to invest in a "hard" case and since it was made specifically for my device I bought it. The case is well made and does exactly what it should. I think, as others have said, the case could actually be a lot smaller and more compact than it is. The device snaps intoโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad

Good case/protection

Cons: Slightly bulky, leaks, but since the GPS is waterproof this isn't necessary. For the size I would like to see a pocket/slot for extra batteries. It's a little fiddly to take the GPS off to change batteries or just use it without a case. Pros: The GPS is held very securely in the case and will not accidentally fall out when opened. See the comment above to get it. If you're wearing a vest, harness or something that the included carabiner can attach to, it's very comfortable, especially atโ€ฆ

  • Regular price

  • Crumpled

Better than expected

I bought this primarily to pack and pack my Oregon in luggage, not so much for outdoor use. Out of curiosity, I took it on a hike with an Oregon 550 installed and found it worked really well on the trail despite being a little big and bulky (my initial perception). When hiking, try attaching it to the strap of your main backpack near your chest. When you open it up, the GPS attaches to the inside of the case with a clip and strap on the back, much like the carabiner/strap that comes with yourโ€ฆ
