Review on Kolar Labs GFO - 1 lb Phosphate Removal Media for Saltwater Reef Tanks and Coral Well-being by Jessica Young

Best price per pound of GFO I've found anywhere from eBay to reef shops! Great GFO, it looks a lot bigger in the picture than it actually is, it's the typical finely ground GFO powder you find in most reactors. The image looks like the surface of Mars under a microscope, but the GFO particles aren't nearly as large. I will buy all my GFOs here as long as the price and quality stay the same. I am currently using this in a BRS elite media reactor (black with red knob) at 1.5 cups each, rotating monthly. I probably lose some of this change as often as it could probably work for 6 weeks without issue, but as reef owners we all have our own schedules and this is just a part of me and not a reflection of GFO life. My photos show what you should be getting from Kolar Filtration, a company new to me, not sure if they run reefs or do water filtration but they have the GFO we need anyway!
