It will work and fit a Mercruiser engine with a filter installed on the exhaust

The main reason I bought this is that it is a good filter and it will fit Mercruiser models that have an oil filter assembly on the right side of the exhaust is installed high. so space is limited. Few filters fit in this space so this was important. Mobil 1-111 is tiny and standard sizes will not fit. Research tells me it's a great filter, I may never know, but I'm happy with it.
