We bought these as an inexpensive alternative to our lighting dilemma. We're getting married "under the stars" in the planetarium. So for the full effect of the stars, bright light is not an option everywhere. We wanted something small and compact, dimmable and dimmable, with a large spotlight, not "floodlight". It's perfect! The dimming can be set to 50% or 100% at the touch of a button. Or you can set the desired amount of light with the +/- buttons. We didn't need any motion sensor or timer features, so I can't comment on them. My only complaint, while unrelated to the devices themselves, is that one of the devices was sent and its remote "used". I know this because one flashlight had mismatched (top) batteries installed and the remote (two of them) had the plastic separating the batteries from the unit already removed, while the other remote still had the plastic and at the other lamp does not. have batteries. However, both devices work great with both remotes. Speaking of remotes, any remote works with any device. If they are close enough together or you are further away from the devices but still within range, you can control both devices at the same time. They are ideal for our purposes. They are small, work as intended and the dimming function is exactly what we wanted.
