We use a lot of freshly ground salt and pepper and after our last electrical appliance broke we went back to hand grinding, did I mention we use a lot, our hands deserves looks like popeye. They work really well and provide an even grind, they work when inverted and glow a blue light around the ring which can sometimes provide an interesting temporary food coloring lol. They are easy to fill and work all the time. The only thing we didn't like was the impossibility of changing the light or turning it off entirely, being rechargeable they are a bit gluttonous.
