I installed 18 in a large room that is both a kitchen and living room. For the common room I set the color temperature to 2700K, fire, and for the kitchen to 5000K, sunlight. The frames are very dark bronze and tend to look black. Works fine on my dimmers. A new ceiling was mounted on the 2x4 battens. The electrical box for each light and the light itself are less than 2 x 4 (about 1.5 inches) thick and fit in the narrow space between the old and new ceiling. The lights have an even illumination through the lens with no bright spots.
