I liked this product at first. Worked about six weeks. Then the gain control just stopped working. For this device, this is the drive between the microphone and the computer and should be around 50%. One day he just pretended to be on max boost. I called back but no change. Essentially, this control stopped working and unfortunately left the gain at "max" which we all know is useless (noise, clipping, etc.). Of course I can reduce the system input, but that doesn't help when the microphone gain is set to maximum - the incoming audio is unusable. I applied for support with "1 year warranty". After about three weeks or back and forth of them saying the same thing while telling me to disable the system input (which is a ridiculous fix for a broken gain control on this unit) I finally got a warranty clearance if possible, name What? Let me be clear, this $60 item comes with warranty service here: I'll pay for shipping and handing them over. It will cost me about $15. I give them my credit card number and have them charge *an unknown amount of money* for whatever they think they should charge for their own shipping and handling?! (yeah really) And can I expect him back in maybe six weeks?! are you kidding? This seems completely unreasonable. Here's what I think is reasonable: you should have it repaired or replaced as that means a guarantee and it does NOT take you six weeks to do it. Then you pay for the return shipping because you have a guarantee again. It broke in six weeks due to an internal malfunction, brother. It is up to you whether you support ALL your products. Here's what I think is GOOD: Shipping with pre-paid label, then same as above. But I would agree that I will lose $15. The fact that I have to pay shipping and handling both ways, wait six weeks or more, and verify the credit card payment for an amount they didn't even disclose? This is all insane and clearly designed to HOLD WARRANTY CLAIMS. So? I think it's probably a decent item for the most part! I enjoyed six weeks. Obviously I can't comment on its strength or durability. I used it in the office with a microphone. I haven't even moved it, but six weeks later it's unusable, so the internal structure doesn't inspire confidence in me. I am very disappointed in this. I think I will buy from a brand with more reliable warranty support.
