Review on 🔌 Furman PST-6 Sound Power Station: Enhanced Line Conditioner for Optimal Performance by Nathaniel Collins

I'm a certified purchaser of this unit. I bought this unit from Revain about a year ago. I have two stereo systems in my home: a high quality stereo system that I only use for listening to music, and an inexpensive mid-range system that I use for music and home theater. , you need to break in the device. I simply plugged the device into an outlet and left it there for about 3 days before trying it out. I first used this unit with my high end system consisting of KEF ref1, MC452 amp, MC220 preamp and Chord Qutest DAC. The difference is immediately noticeable. The whole system just sounded more musical and coherent. I would estimate an improvement of around 5-10% over plugging directly into a wall outlet. Just to be clear, my entire system was plugged into this unit with the exception of the MC452 power amplifier. Out of curiosity, I also used the Furman with my Wharfedale Opus-1, Adcom GFA-5500 power amp, Krell midrange system. KRC-2 preamp, PS Audio DAC. and the difference was significantly larger than that of the high-end system. Everything turned out much better than I expected. The whole system sounds much better than plugging directly into an outlet. In this scenario I connected my power amplifier (Adcom) directly to the SQ extension device. I would estimate an improvement of around 20-30% over plugging in AC directly from the wall outlet. From two experiments, I've concluded that Furman performs better with a mid-range system when the total cost of the components is under $6,000. For a high-end system, you'd better get a higher quality air conditioner from APC, Audioquest, PS Audio. However, if your budget is tight, this Furman unit can be used with all systems from budget to high end with noticeable improvement depending on your electrical components.
