Better glass than plastic. The top is more like spray painted but still has a nice color and finish. It's better than the one with the white plastic cap that seems to attract finger oil over time and look dirty. They look very good and have been well preserved over time. Holds lots of soap. Update February 2020: I was reviewing another product so I saw this and although it deserves an update while I'm at it because it has held up so well to everyday use. . Normally the top of disposable or other plastic dispensers wears out over time or develops smudges that never turn completely white after cleaning, but this kitchen sink dispenser still looks brand new. I don't know if it's gray where an unwashed finger touches the soap or if it's because of the material, but the dirt doesn't cling or show and the edges don't look worn at all. I still love the glass. Can definitely be recommended
