I usually clean my jewelry with the red solution available everywhere. I got this to see if it would work. It really cleaned up the jewelry. I took a before and after photo of one of my wife's rings. The machine is quiet and makes a whirring noise when cleaning. There are 2 touch sensitive buttons, you don't need to press the button, you just need a light touch to operate it. The water will get hot, so I suggest you start with warm water for easier cleaning. I found a mixture of baking soda, salt, dish soap, and water online that works well for cleaning.
