it's expensive but worth it. cannot be used on an actively bleeding wound, you must wait for the bleeding to stop. I originally bought them for finger sores so I don't have to change the bandage every time I wash my hands. I ended up with a very bad cut on my finger because I foolishly washed the knife. it was a deep gash at the tip of my finger. it was life saving. they lasted several days. They started to loosen around the edges and I cut off the loose bits - it was too painful to remove from the wound unless it was already loosened. I liked them so much that I bought them in all sizes. I ended up using them for a street rash I got on my foot after falling off the treadmill (I know I use the kill cord). The wound became infected and took over a month to heal. I applied iodine several times to get rid of the infection and then used these bandages (large) on the street rash. I left them on for about a week, then let them dry and then put them back on. I kept bumping into the wound, so I needed some protection. I LOVE THOSE. Don't buy cheaper without the brand name. You get what you pay for. As people at risk of accidents, they save lives. I had a problem with one not holding my finger. I had a wound too close to the joint and it wouldn't heal because of the curvature in my finger. I think I had to replace it every day. but still better than changing every time I wash my hands.
