I wanted to install two rows of 2x4's on a stucco covered concrete block wall. They appear to have worked well as the boards appear solid and should provide good support for the trellises I plan to attach to them. Drilling deep enough holes was a bit tricky at first, but after a few I got the hang of it. I only needed 20 but I messed up a few while studying so I was glad I bought more than I needed. I was a little unsure if I bought the right length and maybe 1/2 inch shorter would be better but seems fine.
