Unbelievable!: Bracket

I don't know why I didn't find this tool before, but since I found it I can hang anything with confidence! very easy to use. If you don't have this tool and need to hang heavy objects from your walls or ceiling, I highly recommend getting one. This is truly an incredible tool that I wouldn't want to be without at the moment.

Works very well!

I used this to install molybdenum screws in some 1/4 inch hardboard fairings used as a baseboard when installing under floor vents. Much better than other methods of doing this. I've also used it for drywall and it changed my mind about using molybdenum screws for that application. I had removed too many of these during installation and just twisted them into the pre-drilled hole. This tool fixes that problem.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not sure

Missed review good for anchor

Good idea but this product didn't live up to expectations. The premise of the design is very simple: hold the head of the screw tight and tight enough while inserting the molly. The notch holding the screw was too big resulting in the screw not being held. The inability to keep the screw head in place obviously caused all sorts of frustrations. Simple solution: Redesign the cutout by reducing or adjusting it to accommodate different sized screws. This product receives a D

Be mechanically inclined

If you don't know how to use this tool, ask someone for help. You need to unscrew the molybdenum screw a bit and place this tool between the molybdenum body and the screw head. Slide it into the hole on the wall and start pushing the handle. If you used the right molybdenum, it will harden and then stop. Then release the small trigger, which will release the tool. If you start loosening screws on this tool thinking you know what needs to be done to make it work better, don't be surprised if itโ€ฆ

Cool tool! in Cavity Wall Anchor

If you've ever had trouble installing one of these expandable drywall anchors properly, you need it! Expansion anchors usually cause headaches. They tend to turn when you screw in the screw to expand things and you have to screw the screw all the way in to secure it, remove the screw and then install the item. With this tool, you simply drill a hole (or drive an anchor into the drywall, loosen the screw about 1/4 inch), install the tool, and compress. The tool clicks and pulls the screwโ€ฆ

No instructions? in fasteners

Sure, the design isn't perfect, but it works if used very carefully. If you use dowels with small socket head screws, they will slip out of the handle of the tool during operation. I fixed this by adding a small washer to the anchor. The washer can be removed after installing the anchor. If the anchors have a plastic washer, this gets worse because they are slippery. delete them The tool is finicky and needs to be positioned perfectly or the anchor bolt will slip out. May leave marks on theโ€ฆ

DO NOT BUY! - Dowel

I confess I'm new to most things. But I've read about molly screws and installation tools. I watched the video. So I thought perfect! my walls are thin So I have to use Molly's bolts to hold even lighter items on the wall. I figured this installation tool would help hold the M-Bolts in place and save me a lot of time and effort. There is no such happiness. The tool did nothing - I mean nothing. Since this is a tool I've never used before, I tried it out on a piece of drywall to see how theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • For quick and precise installation of hollow wall dowels in walls with hollow studs. Place the anchor in the pre-drilled hole, attach the installation tool and pull the trigger.
Cons
  • The packaging is ugly

Mistake! Definitely NOT heavy duty.

I'm a jack of all trades and although I bought this less than 8 months ago I've had constant problems even though it's been used maybe twice a month. While I like this unit, the front locking hex screw that holds the screw head flip plate is always loose. Can't do without it, so be careful and hold onto it. I need some Loctite and I hope this solves this stubborn problem. Next thing that happened was the rear spring kicking the grip back after the compression failed, and that was in the middleโ€ฆ

  • Well built, easy to use, fits perfectly every time

excellent device; Be careful with the thickness of your drywall

It took a little while to fully understand this tool (there were NO instructions in it, it was one of those "obvious" situations for the average smart student). Or not really a tool, but how to get it on a cavity wall expansion anchor after putting the anchor in the wall. After working with the tool and the anchor unseated, I found that you need to back off the anchor's mounting screw (bolt) slightly to allow the instrument's front (nose) clip to fit completely behind the head of the mountingโ€ฆ
