Review on Sound Bar JBL Bar 2.0 All-in-One Black by Thu Hang Bach ᠌

A good product at a good price, I advise you to try it.

I purchased this model focusing on price and compactness (without a large subwoofer). My goal was to purchase a speaker system for the TV, in order to amplify the sound a little, since the TV's native speakers did not sound very loud and, to put it mildly, flat. I liked the sound of this soundbar in the store, but when I got home and put it on the table, I was a little disappointed. There were no low frequencies at all, not even a hint of their presence was felt. But I was already familiar with situations where the speakers sound bad in certain places and they need to find the right placement. I decided to experiment. By crawling around the room, two places were found where low frequencies began to cut through a little and make themselves felt. The first place is on the floor, under the table. The second is inside a bookshelf hanging on the wall. The sound from the soundbar was not very loud, but much better than the regular speakers on the TV. It became much more pleasant to watch, a more pronounced timbre appeared in the voices, the sound acquired a light color. In general, if you are looking for a compact solution and are not very picky about sound quality, I can recommend it as a good budget option. But remember, to get the best sound, this sausage will have to crawl around the room in search of the best sound.

Pros
  • Made of high quality materials, beautifully made, without any flaw. Not too long, can fit on a small table. Can be wall mounted (fixings included). Receives sound via optics, via Bluetooth, or via ARC technology via HDMI (not available on all TVs). Included is a high quality HDMI cable. There is a remote control.
Cons
  • Due to the fact that this is a monoblock design, the soundbar does not have pronounced low frequencies and is very picky about the location so that these low frequencies at least somehow sound more or less. The soundbar sounded best when placed in a closed space on the sides, such as inside a hanging bookshelf. It was then that the bass felt best, apparently due to the reflection of sound waves from the side surfaces of the shelf. When I placed the soundbar on the table, the low frequencies were not felt at all, as if they were not there. It would be nice to have an optical cable in the kit, instead of HDMI. Although to each his own.
