I have read all the reviews and I must say that I am glad that I decided to buy this shoe rack. It was very easy to put together, I used a rubber mallet to help connect the metal rods to the plastic connectors but you tapped lightly. Make sure the connectors are in the correct position before tapping on the bars. It's difficult to decipher. The rest was very easy to assemble. Took me about 30 minutes total. It's a little light when assembled, but once you put the shoes on the shelves, it becomes durable. I'm glad I bought the shoe cabinet. Holds my shoes and boots and is great for my small one bedroom/living room home.
