Review on ๐Ÿ“ป Philips Avent SCD730/86 Dect Audio Baby Monitor with Starry Night Projector by Sarah Foreman

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works well with minor flaws, expensive for what it does

Pros: -- I set it to the lowest sensitivity so I don't get woken up when the baby just makes normal noises. I also include Cry Alert with a vibrate feature. When the baby cries, the device will make a crying sound, vibrate and light up. All three together are enough to wake us up and see what's going on. This is the biggest feature of the device and it does the job well. Please note that the light does not bother me while sleeping. Although we won't place it far away, it should go through some solid walls. The reception is excellent. The parent unit is very light and portable. Cons: Poor documentation. It lacks some details and isn't very well written; I wish there was a volume control for sounds. Even though the device keeps waking me up, I would have liked it to be a little louder; I'm not sure about the battery life yet, although it takes a long time to charge. Once the device is turned on, one night is enough to drain most of the battery; -- The projector does not bring any real added value. Melodies break off too quickly. Quite expensive. As someone involved in electronics manufacturing, he makes huge profits with such a simple product. Overall this is a good product for what it is intended for.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • pisses me off
