First of all I have to say that this projector reminds me of the character Eve from the movie Wall-e. Plus, it's easy enough for kids to set up and use. It doesn't require any special changes to your laptop settings, it automatically selects the HDMI port to display (at least mine). The LED projection looks a bit pixelated when you get very close. But from a normal viewing distance it looks quite good. The built-in speaker has good sound quality. The clip I included in my review is from one of my own videos. The projection was on a cream colored wall about 8 feet from us. This should give you an idea of what the projection will look like to you. The room wasn't very dark either. This way the image (no matter how bright) will be brighter in the best (darker) spot. I know my daughter will love this addition to her video workshop where she takes videos and photos for her lingerie business.
