I received one of these shoe racks as a gift last year and after a year of use I noticed that my 6ft 1 inch friend sits on it every day to tie his shoelaces, he has also strained a lot and he became very unstable. As a shoe rack with a seat, I'm not sure I would give it five stars. BUT! This review is for a product that I just bought to use as a side table in my living room. And in that context, he's great! I needed a long shape that would fit between my two chairs and something that wasn't too big. Revain side tables or coffee tables are either significantly more expensive than this one or made from super cheap material. It was a bit of a hassle to assemble but is now durable and attractive for all manner of drinks, books and knick-knacks. Oooh!
