Wonderful dark golden color, almost bronze. The texture of the feathers is nice and the light reflects off the subject well. Holds 7 items in the well for me. Smaller pens work better when you're looking for a large crowd. I don't use a mobile crutch at all. To be honest, I'm afraid of damaging my phone. I suggest being gentle until you learn how to put your phone in and out of the crutch. Sticking a small amount of felt would be helpful to reduce scratching problems. As for durability, I haven't tested it. It's a good weight but I don't think it will survive a fall depending on how it lands. I really like it, I hope it will last a very long time.
