Review on Seiko Prospex Samurai SRPB51: Stainless Steel Automatic Dive Watch - 200m Water Resistance by John Bailey

Nearly perfect.

Like most people considering buying this watch, you probably already own a few other automatic watches and are at least somewhat familiar with the Seiko brand. If so, then I highly recommend adding it to your collection. It's a very nice looking watch, very distinctive compared to most other dive watches on the market, and a solid hand-wound movement that's superb at this price point. However, it's really small stuff, but worth noting: the bracelet sucks. Poorly. I mean at this price it should be better than it is even without hard links. It sounds like a concrete mixer pulling a stack of tin cans across railroad tracks as you flex your wrist. I'm used to auto changing the strap on most watches under 1000.00 but it would actually be nice to have a little better quality here. Pointer at 12 o'clock. This is only a small part, but it's there if you look for it. This is a common problem with cheap Seiko models that Seiko fans have been struggling with for a while. Again, this isn't a deal breaker, but if it had cost more it would have been sent back for either repair or replacement. In general it is worth the money. It's a decent re-release of the original Samurai, albeit not in a titanium case, but not overpriced either. I would say do it; Just be sure to use an authorized dealer to maintain the factory warranty.
