Ideal for knives, especially long and wide!
I bought a tray for a very diverse selection of kitchen knives that I have bought over the years. The expandable compartment offers space for a long Ginsu as well as a pair of knives of similar length and width. The adjacent 14" slot contains a pair of narrower long knives that do not fit in the 11" slots. 11-inch slots hold a set of carving knives and serving forks; medium-sized knives; steak knife. Auxiliary paring knives are housed in a small compartment. Our knives are organized in a way that makes me feel like Felix Unger!
